Day 7- 510 miles/ 1814 total Miles Gallup NM

VROOM VROOM VROOM....yup we cruised today - right through Colorado, Santa Fee NM, and Albuquerque NM to our resting place of Gallup NM... We are in famous Route 66 about to have dinner and rest!! That is Sheri in the picture.
BIKES AND GAS......
We are blessed that the bikes are working great. Yes, Mark and Tim from Bachmans did a good job getting the bikes ready for the trip. We love Bachmans - the bestest mechanics in the whole world, even if Marc is full of himself!! That is what we love about him.

We did almost have one little tiny incident on the bikes today. Who knew when riding through strong head winds that your bike would use up sooooo much gas. So there we were zooming right along and Bif noticed that she only had 20miles of gas left. OH NO!! It was only about 100 degrees out and in the middle of the dessert...nothing in site for cover or shade. Well, seconds latter the remaining gas was down to 12 miles......double OH NO........Bif zoomed up to Sheri and hoped she would invoke her super powers and find us a gas station lick-it-dee split. Wowzer, wowzer those super powers worked - and there appeared a gas station!!! Whew.... In celebration of invoking gas stations, Super Sheri's hair spiked up and turned orange!!!

The Scenery......
In less than 24 hours we crossed the Continental Divide twice. Now the water is running toward the west - not that we have seen a lot of water in New Mexico. Is there some kind of deep spiritual meaning about which way the water runs???? Or maybe it just means the water is following a different way....

The last part of Colorado was filled with rolling hills and lush greenery. The scenery changed into the beautiful red rocks of New Mexico. They are just as breath taking as the Colorado. Check out the pictures, just don't even know if there are words to describe the beauty of the red rocks, volcanic rocks, mesas and all the land. Incredible!!!

The weather definitely got hotter as we got into New Mexico. Fortunately it did not get scorching hot and while riding the girls stayed cool. Only when they stopped did they realize hot dang hot it was!! And fortunately, the girls were able to avoid an afternoon thunderstorm that was going to hit Albuquerque.

Fun Notes

When the girls stopped at the Albuquerque the girls ran into the New Mexico Hog State Rally!!! And the best part was that the dealership had screaming sales....yes Bif bought more stuff and found another cool charm. Bling Bling...

TerBear Update

Our Terbear is having a blast riding bitch on Biffys bike. And the ride is much more fun now that she has MarBear along side of her. TerBear is calming down her ways as she is settling into her friendship with MarBear. Along the ride today, the two of them opened up their hearts when they saw a poor lonely doggie along the side of the road. They made Biffy pull over and now the dou has adopted that doggie and she is coming along for the ride!!!! Ter and MarBear are discussing what to name their new doggie - anyone got any suggestions???

That is all for tonight,
