It was a quick hop skip and jump from beautiful Glenwood Springs to Keystone CO. So we took our time leaving. The ride was awesome!!! The sun was shinning and just a bit of a chill in the air. How can we even describe the breath taking beauty of the Colorado river and the mountains. OMG...it was gorgeous and it just couldn't have been better being on our bikes. Both Biff and Sheri laughed when they passed one rest stop that was named "No Name." Now that must have taken months to come up with that creative name for the rest stop.
About half way we stopped at a charming town, Avon CO, and for the first time on the journey Bif had REAL coffee. Thank god for Starbucks...While taking our coffee break a mom and her small daughter walked by us and our bikes, the little girl pointed at our bikes and said " look at those BIG things!!!" We all laughed and chatted a bit with her. She was fascinated by Bif pinks helmet (that is my kind of girl :)). She told us that her mommy has a scooter too, it is just not so big!!!

We got into Keystone and checked into our hotel. Holly mooly....the view, the view!!! We just have a regular room, no upgrade or anything and we don't know when we have seen such a spectacular view!! We look right out on the Snake River and the mountains. And in the room the hotel has coffee makers with Starbucks coffee!! Sweet!!!

We went down to the conference. It was early check in today. So cool to see all the women riders and they are from all over the country. We've been meeting women from New Jersey, California, Wisconsin, Illinois and Texas. And all of them on their own bikes...big bikes and most just traveling with women. And they all have their own tales of weather, police, riding and meeting other women riders. Truly inspiring!! Last year, when Sheri and Bif went to Wisconsin they were a novelty being women riders who rode only with women. We did meet a few other women riders but they were with men. It is estimated that only 12% of riders are women. So, seeing so many women on bikes is a very unusual experience.Much of the day, Bif, Sheri and TerBear just hung out, met people, enjoyed the sceenery and tranquility. And they found great places to eat. Check out the lunch picture. Bif had some rather spicy, spicy chili verde. In the picture check out Bif's racoon eyes - the biker tan!

TerBear did have to work for her supper. She met a very hip guy at Pizza 101 and he put TerBear to work making the pizza dough. And after such a "rough" TerBear hung out art the bar with an adult beverage.

WOULD SOMEONE TELL BIF SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO SLEEP IN HER HELMET>
