Day 2 - 420miles/632total miles - Delta Utha...WHERE?????

Travel Tips....If you ever end up in Delta Utah make sure you eat before 6pm because there are few restruants in town all shut down by 6pm. Oh yea, make sure you stay at the Days Inn because as the locals tell us "of the three hotels in town, it is the cleanest." Yea that is a reassuring tip from the locals but we did take their advice. So.....Delta Utah....well not much happening here.......So a quite night for us.

Today, we rode through much of Nevada on hi way 50 which is also called the "Loneliest Hi way" - and it sure shitting is. the top picture is of Sheri - look how desolate the road is. And the side picture of of Bif. It is amazing how untouched much of the land is for miles and miles and miles and miles. We had to be really careful with our gas because it is literally more than a 100 miles between towns. And I use the term towns very loosely. The few we actually went through really looked like something out of old westerns with arcitecture from the 1800s, building in disrepair, windows boarded up and just plain not much happening in the towns.

Our first gas stop was in Austin NV. Well...now that was an experience. Check out the pictures of the Pony Hotel where they also had gas. It was kind of a freakish place and a personalityless attendant at the gas station. We met up with another group of women riders from the Bay area. They are heading to the women in motorcycling conference in Keystone Colorado.

On the loneliest hi way we did see cattle, cool mountains, signs for earthquake faults, the white salt on the tan sand, red rocks and lots of brush and plants. While riding Bif learned how to do aerobics on the bike...really... Sheri learned how to take videos, and both of them learned how to take pictures on their blackberries while riding....yea we know that is such a good idea but hey there is no law against it...yet. Sheri was a bit worried when She saw that Bif was carryng her blackberry in her mouth!! Anything for a picture......Also, Bif was entertaining herself with audio books. So as she rode she was listening to Tolstoy's Anna K. and Wm Golding's Lord of the Flies!!!

Classic literature, sun, beautiful scenery, the wife and the Harley's...not a bad way to spend a Sunday.

Oh yea - TerBear is doing well and is very thankful Super Sheri was around to rescue her from the wildlife dangers of Nevada.

Ride with Sheri - really....listent to the music, wind and watch the road. VROOM WROOM
