Oh boy, oh boy were the biker babes(BBs) and their little dog, luck girls today!!!They got up had a little nosh, packed up the bikes and VROOOOOOM, off they went. Before leaving Grants Pass they did a little exploring. First, priority was to get some Dutch Brothers coffee and take Roadie for her morning dog cookie.....Oh but guess what happened.....little miss pick, Roadie, turned up her nose at the Oregon barristas.But Biffy did get her needed coffee fix so all was good.
Then the trio decided to see a bit of the charming town of grants pass. And what was their first encounter....OMG....could it have been a HUGE caveman!!!! Yup a twenty foot statue of an ancient cave man!!! It was huge...and the most interesting part, the BBs could stand underneath the caveman and look up it's toga.....Yup that ws a site the girls needed to see early in the morning!!
Enough of the caveman time to get back to this century and visit another Dutch Brothers. Grants Pass is where DB started Hence the BBs had to pay due homage to the origins of Biffys favorite coffee. At the second DB stop, once again Roadie was kindly offered a doggie cookie and she once again turned up her nose at it. Snotty dog.....Rumor has it she misses her Woodland Barrista chicks and doesn't want anyone to think she has changed her loyalty from the.
So, much for the dog cookies.....Downtown Grants Pass has been invaded with BEARS....Not sure if there are more BEARS or DB coffee houses.....The bears are FABULOUS. The first ones the trio encountered were a mixed gender couple. The lady bear was leisurely sitting on the ground and the boy bear was painting her portrait!!! There were blue bears, red bedazzled bears, bears reading books, and even a tiny bear in a barn being watched over by a spider "Some Bear."
Then it was finally time for the ride...vroooom....It could have not been a more perfect day. And Oregon is beautiful the rolling mountains, rives and all the green. It was beautiful. And..the BBs and little dog were mighty relived that the weather ws a wee more tolerable, they almost needed their heated vests!! Quite a difference from the day before.
Such a peaceful way to spend a Sunday, cruising through beautiful land, listening to NPR, drinking coffee.....nothing could be better.
Yet, the peacefulness was tragically broken when the trio arrived in Eugene OR!! Yea Eugene, what are they famous for, lots of hippies, mellowing out and a lot of singing bad folk songs.....Unfortunately, the trio got to experience the darker side of Eugene....They encountered the vile DUTCH MAFIA......OH NO..........And the Dutch Mafia tried desperately to kidnap poor little Roadie and whisk her away and their evil comic book van.(For none DB fans... DB has a whole other business strategy than just selling coffee....they have a very organized Mafia!!) Poor Roadies life was in danger...danger danger Will Robinson....But the BB's looking strikingly similar to Will Robinson's Robot, as they were dressed in the biker gear, took out those Mafia charters and rescued Roadie!!!
Oh the panic of the whole situation.
Oh yea, the girls did get some good coffee out of it.
